Plain Jane - After Photos

Here are some "after" shots of Plain Jane. See the before shots here. She, the dogs and I are taking our maiden voyage this Friday to a herding trial on the west side of the State. It's just an overnighter as we have family coming to visit for a few days, so I need to get back home but I couldn't turn down a "trial run"...pun intended. : )

I still have a few things to do but the main stuff is finished. I did this redo on the cheap. I only purchased one gallon of paint (most was paint I had leftover from other projects) and the black gingham fabric for the curtains. It's almost packed and ready to roll. Hubby just bought me a spare tire mounted on a wheel, just in case. I'll let you know how it goes when we get back.

Happy Trails!

  2. Jami: I'd love to bend your ear some time about your trailer. I have not been able to find anything at all about mine; it's exactly the same except I have an additional sleeping area above the dining area. Do you have any documentation on yours at all? I'd love to see it, or some detailed photos if I could bother you for some?

    1. Hi Megan. I have no written documentation about my little TravelEze, but I just kept searching for images on Google and visited lots of websites and blogs about vintage trailers. I guess I didn't fret too much about not finding exactly my model because I knew I wanted to fix it up my own way. There are so many ways to go about renovating a trailer, from the "studs in" or really just a little makeover like I did with elbow grease and paint that didn't involve too many power tools. There are purists who do not believe in changing the original "patina" and those who gussy them all up. I sent you an email Megan with my phone number and I'd be happy to take some photos but it needs to be soon. I am about ready to tarp it good for the winter months and I don't think I will have access to get inside easily after this. : )

  3. I really am most interested to see if you have an original floor plan. On mine, there is one in the electrical box at the front, right side of the trailer...does your still have this piece of factory paperwork? No worries if you've already put it away...it's just that yours is the closest I've ever seen to mine! Best to you.

  4. Meant to say there is supposed to be one, there, but it has been wiped so much over the years it's unreadable. Thanks !
